Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I) and Government of India (GoI) have taken up a series of measures to simplify and rationalize the regulatory processes (registration and inspection processes) and introduction of information technology as enabler to make governance more efficient and effective. Maharashtra is one of the leading states in the country for facilitating the above initiative through Ease of Doing Business.

This portal has been prepared with the intention to facilitate the investors with a detailed description of the approvals required in starting of business in Maharashtra. It also provides key details of the approvals/permission/clearances such as approval authority, application forms required, supporting document, fee and mode of payments, contact details, and timelines amongst others.
